Choosing To Move

After struggling for months with our home, I realized that I really needed to do something to make things better. I started looking around for different places that might be better for me and my family to move to, and I realized that there were a few places around that could really help. I decided to move and put a lot of my things in storage, and it was really remarkable to see how much better my place felt without so much stuff sitting around. I wanted to start a new blog that completely focused on moving and getting things done, so check out this website.

Are You Moving Your Office?

Are you in charge of moving your office from one location to another? If so, you probably are a bit stressed. No need! From having an organizational meeting to buying heavy duty plastic storage bins in preparation for moving day, here are some ideas that might help you a lot.l

Have A Meeting With All Workers - Everybody in your place of business knows that you're moving to a different location, right? If not, that information needs to go out ASAP. Build anticipation by having a meeting where you tell all of those with whom you work all about the new office location. Include information about what their own workspace will be, restaurants and shopping that are near the new location and other things that you think are positive about your new office.

After you have gotten everybody excited about the move, let them know that there is a lot of work ahead. Ask your coworkers to start getting rid of things that may be cluttering their own office space so that there won't be excess items to be moved. Give your coworkers a specific date that things will be packed up for the actual move. Consider setting up an area for items that can be donated to a local charity. Have somebody be in charge of calling that charity to pick those items up before moving day.

Buy Heavy Duty Plastic Storage Containers - One thing that will more than likely be a tremendous help to your coworkers is to have heavy-duty plastic storage bins to place items in their own departments. For example, those who work in certain departments together could organize things like files and other documents that need to be transferred. When you select the storage containers, think about buying stackable ones which will not only be easy to move, but that will also be easy to store once you're at your new location.

Consider buying each of the workers one or two heavy-duty plastic totes for their smaller personal items, too. For example, the workers could use the heavy-duty plastic totes for things like pictures and even items like their own staplers, pens, pencils and other office supplies that they count as their own. Consider buying both the stackable containers and the plastic totes in different colors. For instance, buy red ones in which you can store the holiday decorations you use to decorate your office at Christmastime.
